I'm Sarah. I craft. I shoot. I thrift. I burn things in the kitchen. I am a photographer raising creatives with my gloriously bearded husband in New York's capital region. I am a graduate of the Hallmark Institute of Photography and a proud member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association. I find myself most at home with artists, and love photographing their spaces. I also adore completely non-traditional, off-beat weddings, and truly real people. My favorite movie scene is in Down by Law. Tom Waits, Roberto Benigni, and John Lurie sing in a prison cell. It's amazing.

I am a proud member of the
wedding photojournalist association

“The WPJA is a professional organization composed of photojournalists and wedding photographers from around the world. What sets our members apart in the industry is their candid, documentary approach – a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography. We offer a new perspective on wedding photography – quietly capturing the real moments as they happen for the bride and groom. It is our goal to use photography to tell the story of your wedding day, not dictate it for you.”

I am also a member of the
artistic guild of the wedding photojournalist association

“The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association is a group of international wedding photojournalists, who capture unscripted wedding moments as they happen, and excel in the art of post-production image processing.

I have been featured on/in:
Where Women Create Business
Offbeat Bride | Offbeat Families | The Knott
The New York Daily News | The Today Show | CNN/Piers Morgan

I have been paid to photograph the following celebrities:
(Yes, I am about to shamelessly do some name dropping.)
In order of personal importance: Rick Springfield, Lewis Black, STYX, The Pointer Sisters, Bret Michaels, Melissa Ethridge, Judy CollinsSinbad, and the list goes on.

I totally moonlighted for a while as a celebrity meet and greet photographer.
