About
I’m Sarah. I’m an artist living in New York’s capital region. Photography has always been apart of who I am. I first began formal studies in 1998 driving my Chevy Chevet back and forth to photography classes three towns over. I went on to study photography at Hallmark Institute of Photography and later became a proud member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association and The Artistic Guild of the WPJA. I’ve been happily married for for as long as I’ve been shooting weddings – Fourteen years! Wild! This is my 10th year homeschooling (raising creatives).
I believe everyone should be surrounded in art. It doesn’t matter if you make it or just appreciate it.
I’ve always found myself most at home with artists, and love photographing their processes and spaces. I also adore completely non-traditional weddings, film processing, dark rooms, fiber arts, and clay.
My favorite movie scene is in Down by Law. Tom Waits, Roberto Benigni, and John Lurie sing in a prison cell. It’s amazing, and important that you know that. I don’t know why, but it is.
I think we should hang out and tell your story. We’ll make something beautiful.
I am currently seeking artists who would be willing to let me into their spaces. As is. No propping. No cleaning Exactly as it is. If you are interested PLEASE let me know!

“The WPJA is a professional organization composed of photojournalists and wedding photographers from around the world. What sets our members apart in the industry is their candid, documentary approach – a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography. We offer a new perspective on wedding photography – quietly capturing the real moments as they happen for the bride and groom. It is our goal to use photography to tell the story of your wedding day, not dictate it for you.”
“The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association is a group of international wedding photojournalists, who capture unscripted wedding moments as they happen, and excel in the art of post-production image processing.
