I am very happy to finally be living in a state which has legalized same sex marriage. I am thrilled that all people, regardless of the sexual orientation, will be able to celebrate their love, as well as have all of the legal protections and benefits that a civil union affords.  As someone who photographs weddings, I can attest to the absolute joy the couples and their families and friends feel on their wedding day.  And I am psyched that this joy will no longer be denied couples because of their sexual orientation.

I don’t want it to seem like I’m trying to cash in on the good news, but I feel like I would like to honor this momentous occasion. So, I am offering a special rate to the first two same sex couples who respond to this post – if you get married this year (2011) and hire me to shoot your wedding, I will do so at 50% off my normal rates.  In other words, if you purchase package #2 (which is normally eight hours of continuous coverage for $1000) you will only pay $500.
